Pinewood Derby

The Dads, I mean the boys, each meticulously craft a car from wood,
plastic wheels and nails for axles. They paint them and then set them
free on the race track.

Everyone has a great time and the winners get trophies.

The coot is a waterfowl. Curious to me was that instead of webbed feet it has webbed toes.

Adams and SART City Sign

After the city of Huntington Beach won it's lawsuit they put up new signs with "Surf City USA" on them at many of the entry points to the city.  This one is at Adams Blvd and the Santa Ana River.

Happy December

I managed to hold out two days after Thanksgiving before putting up Christmas lights this year.  And a giant inflatable Santa/snowman/teacup dancing thing.
