First Road Incident

We had our first incident while driving.  The cover that encloses the underbelly at the front of the trailer caught the wind and blew down, exposing wiring and dragging along the freeway.

I used some rope to tie it up.  Boy Scout skills came in handy.

While we were in Bear Lake North I finally got around to a permanent fix.

I clipped u-nuts on the edge of the corrugated plastic, drilled holes through the frame flange and clamped the corrugated plastic to the flange with fender bolts.  The fender bolts have a smaller diameter end that makes it easier to get started in u-nut.

The final solution.  I had to cut an access hole to reach in and position the u-nuts.

We stopped for fuel and saw it. Don’t know how long it was that way.
